Fr (Dr) I. Arnald Mahesh is a Salesian priest from the Province of Tiruchy. He holds distinguished academic credentials: MPh from Divyadaan, MA in Philosophy and Religion, MSc in Psychology, and MPhil & PhD in Philosophy from KU Leuven, Belgium, specializing in The Ethics of Human Enhancement. Since June 2022, he has served as Dean of Philosophy at St Peter’s Pontifical Institute, Bangalore. Earlier, he played key roles at Jnanodaya Salesian Institute of Philosophy and Religion, Yercaud—Vice Rector, Principal, Dean, and Librarian—and was Editor-in-Chief of Jnanodaya: Journal of Philosophy for seven years. Author of several books and numerous journal articles, he is also a retreat preacher, animator, and ethics consultant. He is a Consultor with the CCBI Bioethics Forum, Secretary of Catholic Faculties in India (CFI), and Member of the SOCHARA Institutional Scientific and Ethics Committee (SISEC), Bangalore.
